This Race Report is from Jamie, a member of the SW London/Surrey RG Active Race Team. This race is considered ‘Middle distance’ which is slightly different from what we now know as 70.3 or Half Ironman. This distance is great for anyone looking for a UK based race when training for Ironman or Half Ironman and set in a very pretty part of the country.
This Race Report has been in from Deon who is an RG Active Client and regular attendee of the Open Water Swim sessions at Ham Lake and the Richmond Park Brick Sessions. Deon is currently training for the UK Half Ironman so this Royal Windsor triathlon was part of his preparation for that. We also saw Deon at The Blenheim Palace Triathlon at the beginning of June so he has been busy this month!
Over the next few days I will posting a number of race reports that have been kindly sent to us from members of the RG Active Race Team and RG Active Clients on their travels.
The race this year was the first of three Age-group World Championship Qualifying races which brought out some of the best age-group triathletes in GB and the atmosphere definitely had an added tension in the air as people set up in Transition and prepared themselves as the unsettled weather moved in!
I have had the week to reflect on my Ballbuster race and thought I would share them with you in the form of a race report. So please sit back and enjoy the read!
