RG Active join forces with Wattbike in 2012!

Recently RG Active coaches John and Marsha travelled to the Wattbike science lab for a day of advanced training to learn how the science can be used to help all of the RG Active client base that are looking to improve their cycling strength, speed and efficiency. After the visit Wattbike pieced together a blog about RG Active’s visit and we thought it would be a great idea to share it with you all.

The rise in popularity of winter multi-sport racing is bringing cold weather cycling and running to a whole new audience. Dressing properly for winter training and racing is a skill that can make your sessions more comfortable whatever the weather. Yes, I am nervous…… I always get nervous.

I get nervous before the Richmond Park 5km races and I am definitely nervous about tomorrow. But don’t think this is a bad thing to get nervous, I think of it as a very positive thing.

If you have had a busy summer of racing now should be a time of REST and RECOVERY. I will always recommend athletes having at least TWO WEEKS OFF after their last race of the summer season. Triathletes especially, have a hard time slowing down and having time off, but you benefit hugely from some time off before you begin the long winter BASE MILES that start the PREPARATION for next season.
