Something that might be of interest to you all?
I recently changed my dentist and moved to the dental practise owned and run by one of my RG Active clients based in Kew, SW London.
So, I now have a dentist that I feel actually cares about the work he does in mouth, and the fact that my new dentist is a triathlete made the decision to change very easy, With all the sugary energy products that us triathletes tend to use, the care of my teeth is something I take quite seriously.
Anyway, many of you are probably wondering why I am blogging about my dentist?
Well, my dentist has been attending the RG Active sessions over the last few months wearing what I thought was a standard mouthguard. As I dentist I assumed he was playing it really safe in case he fell off his bike?
Being nosey I had to ask him what and why he was wearing this ‘thing’ in his mouth even for swimming and running?
What he preceded to tell me was both interesting and actually made a lot of sense…….
Have you ever been working really had and bitten down really hard on your jaw. Even if you haven’t been aware of this before you will be thinking about it the next time you are training now you have read this!
I went away and did some homework, my dentist gave me some research papers to read and the wonders of YouTube came to my services. Please take a few minutes to watch the videos below and make your owns judgement……….
If you are wondering what conclusions I came to after my time researching, I have been to my dentist, had my impressions taken and been fitted for my NEW Performance mouth wear that you will see me wearing within the next few weeks!
Please note, these mouth pieces are not products that can be purchased off the shelf and need to be supplied and fitted by a registered dentist who then send the impressions away to America for production, so this does come at a cost.
But ask yourself, on top of the potential performance gains this product might give you, how much are your teeth worth to you? You only get one set of teeth and in my opinion, they are worth looking after.
If you are in the SW London area and would like to know more about the ‘Performance Mouthwear’ please visit my dentist’s website for more details and information about how to get yours…….
