Hello Everyone,

Been in China a few days now and today as part of my preparation for the weekend’s World age-group triathlon Championships I entered and raced the World Aqauthlon Championships today.

I had a great race today at the World Aquathlon Championships. I kept to my race plan & didnt push too hard, after all I am saving myself for the BIG one on Sunday!

I came 4th, but was so far off 3rd i dont mind missing out on the medal. It was hot but not horribly & it was good fun. If anything I swam too easy, but then as it didnt make any positional difference it didnt matter. Tim told me I was 5th out of the water, but that 1st 3 were too far ahead. So I chased down 4th & then consolidated. Most people were falling away at this point but i felt strong. Im really pleased with how controlled I felt-bring
on Sunday!!

We are off to the Gala Dinner at the Great Wall later & that should be good. We are staying in the same hotel as the elite athletes so I have grabbed a few celebrity photos!

Marsha: The people are much friendlier this year, but are still all ill & injured!!! Poor souls!

Love as always,

Rach xx
