The most exciting charity bike ride of 2011 – Right To Play’s Ride to the Tour:
RG Active’s chosen charity Right To Play are organising 2011’s most exciting multi-day fundraising ride, the Ride to the Tour. Riders will depart from the Stoop, Harlequins F.C. ground, in Twickenham on 29th June and cycle 350miles to Les Herbiers in France in time to witness the thrilling close of the first full stage of the Tour de France on 2nd July. The group will also enjoy an exclusive, behind-the-scenes experience with Team HTC-Highroad. Former England and Harlequins scrum half, Andy Gomarsall will be riding as part of the 200 strong group.
This is the third year that Right To Play have hosted such a cycling challenge, and it looks set to be the biggest and best yet. Passing through the beautiful South Downs before crossing over to the rolling countryside, picturesque villages and lush vineyards of North Western France, the carefully planned route is both scenic and cycle-friendly, with just the right amount of challenge to suit both first-timers and seasoned bike riders alike. And with full mechanical support from Specialized, the group will be in safe hands from start to finish. Specialized will also be offering free products and exclusive in store discounts to riders who hit their fundraising targets; one rider will win a brand new Specialized road bike.
It has all the big names in cycling supporting it, Specialized, HTC-Highroad and now RG Active who are proud to strongly recommend you sign up today! But don’t just take our word for it that’d it be great, watch a video with Right To Play Athlete Ambassador Mark Cavendish who is supporting the challenge and encouraging keen cyclists to sign up.
