Good evening everyone,

I hope everyone is in the Christmas spirit and has got all of their presents purchased, or at least their shopping list ready for the last minute rush to the shops on Christmas Eve?

I have been doing the usual online shopping for Christmas and am quite happy with my purchases so far this year….. everyone is getting RG Active clothing!!!! ha ha

Anyway, I have just returned back from a Training Camp in Lanzarote with ‘Team Ichiban‘ and we had a fantastic week of lots of swimming, cycling and running as well as a little kayaking, conditioning and weights to mix it up. The weather was good, although the horrible wind was present as usual and it brought back some horrible memories of this May’s Lanzarote Ironman that my girlfriend and raced.

Since I last wrote a blog RG Active has continued to evolve and with some very exciting things happening for 2010 I can only say…..”Watch this space”!

Many of you may have seen the RG Active ‘Race Team’ section on the website. This section is only temporary whilst the new ‘Race Team‘ website is being finished www.rgactiveraceteam.com. This will be the new website of the Team that we are putting together for you. We are calling it a team because it sounds cool, however it is a triathlon club that will be looking at inviting new members to. We will have regional bases in both East London/Essex and SW London/Surrey and both areas will have their own set of staff to help organise and run sessions for ‘Team Members’ and our aim to build a club/team structure that can grow and help to develop new triathletes and give people a social side to the sport! Please keep your eyes out for more on the ‘Race Team‘ after Christmas as we hope to announce Sponsors and New Kit and some great opportunities for everyone!

Back on the subject of Christmas shopping and more specifically SHOPPING, we have continued to add to the product range we can offer through our Online Store. The most recent addition to the Store is a small collection of Craft clothing (Base-Layers, Arm and Leg Warmers, T-shirts etc.) We are also still selling Sizzling Minerals, which if you haven’t tried yet are well worth considering. Mule bars, RG Active Cycle Clothing and a small range of triathlon specific literature for those who like a little homework!

I am still keeping myself fit and have two races lined up in the not to distant future. The first being the Witham Boxing Day 5 mile, and then on New Year’s Day my girlfriend and I (along with Victoria, Peter and the usual suspects from before) will be racing the Knacker Cracker 10km race at Box Hill in Surrey. If any of you fancied a race on New Year’s day then this could be for you, because if you are made enough to race at all you might as well do one of the hardest 10km races there is!!!!!!

I am off now but will make sure I am back  on gain before Christmas to tell you all about everything I have been up to and everything that is going on within the RG Active World that I live in!
